Introduction & Storyboard for Edit Workshop

Our first task for our AS course is to do a preliminary exercise, working in groups of 2/3 to plan , stage, film an edit a sequence called 'The Encounter'. Editing will be done individually. 
The brief of the exercise is a character opens a door, sits down in a chair opposite another character, with whom he/she then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. 

The 'encounter' must include:

• A range of camera shots/angles.
• Continuity - Everything has to be in the exact place through the whole sequence.
• A wild cat soundtrack.



Joy Division

Danni and I decided to do a clip of a guitarist from a band interviewing a potential new lead singer/vocalist. The band is a post-punk rock band called Incubation, heavily influenced by Joy Division. This week we planned our storyboard, Danni planned scenes 1- 7, and i planned scenes 8-13. 

Our scenes include a variety of shots and techniques including:

• Match On Action ( 4 & 5a)
• Shot Reverse Shot / Reaction shots (8, 9 & 10)
• 180 Degree Rule.
